How it works

Each day of the week focuses on a different book from Scripture.

My belief is that we benefit when we’re intentional about taking in the breadth of Scripture on a weekly basis.

The pace is slower here, at most we cover a chapter in a single day with an emphasis on understanding and then personal reflections.

Mondays: Psalms

Each week starts off in the Psalms. These poetic expressions of praise, angst, justice, distress, and so much more are highly relatable as well as instructive. The words of people to God have become the words of God to people.

Tuesdays: Matthew

If we’re Jesus-followers, we need to spend time in the presence of the Good Teacher. The account of Jesus never fails to remind us that God seeks us out in the most personal, human way. Immanuel is a gift!

Wednesdays: Genesis

The account of “beginnings” offers us a unique glimpse into our own origins as well as the nature of God. Some of this is outright scandalous! Still, we see hope weaving through.

Thursdays: Romans

How do we live our lives in light of the person and message of Jesus? Paul teaches the early believers in Rome, and us, what that looks like. Lots to wrestle with in Romans.

Fridays: Joshua

Courage, obedience, and what happens when people trust God (or don’t). This is all about God’s faithfulness in keeping His promises. Courage, friends, the weekend is here!
